Fighting Style: Being a genin, Akai is limited to very few moves, so his fighting style is pretty crude as well, or rather basic and functional. His movements are that of a seasoned fighter with nothing to worry about, but with a slight tone into them which can worry anyone seeing them. He will sometimes sway a bit before or while moving, with no real visible reason or anything like that, making his moves a tad bit more unpredictable than they already are. Being able to be not caring by nearly all physical damage and being able to regenerate at will using water, has made this kid into a fighter who does not worry about going in close to any kind foe enemy and just whittling them down by them self. He also has learned how to use the enemies strength on their own and with his head and strategical thinking he can observe a battlefield more calmly than most ninja ever could. He usually tries to catch an enemy alive inside his strongest jutsu, the water sphere prison where he can hold them for some time and decide what to do with them. But even more than walking in on his enemy is that he can surface walk. He likes ambushing people in liquid form, making for very short battles as once he touches an enemy, he can use his prison to catch them.

Standing at 5'1", Akai is quite slender in appearance and with his wide clothes, he could even be called lanky. With 100lbs he seems more like someone with little muscles and that´s exactly right, he is not as brawny as most other kids and doesn´t want to, he rather would like to use his time to learn new moves instead of train, it being stressful and time intense. Akai has a blue toned pale skin and two tattoo´s below his eyes held in red. Green blue colored hair, which look like algae if they are wet or at least would if he wouldn´t always be in liquid mode when in water. He wears a brown vest over a blue shirt with a high collar. He has made this by himself and had to stitch it together whenever he grew and now it has to be held together by several belts and so on. He has deep sea green eyes which remind anyone looking into them of a gentle breeze above the fields. His teeth are what gave him his nickname, they are sharp and edged, like a sharks. His eyes are quite sensitive to light and so he often has red eyes or wound eyelids, that is also why his bangs are that long.


Personality: Akai, even though looking like a shark is actually quite a nice guy. He doesn´t mind fun and sees all a bit as fun, even fighting. That is why serious fighting annoys him and drives him to the edge, he hates fighting seriously and if someone else is doing so for too long, Akai changes into battle mode to say so and aims for the kill if needed. Most of Akai´s friends are delinquents and shady people, because normal people have a problem most of the times with his face and/or behavior, but his lightheartedness is something most shady people value. But even though he is light hearted, he is not naive, so he won´t get tricked into something easily.

He likes kirigakure and has already decided to serve Kiri on the end of his career as some kind of hunting nin or as the local ANBU. Though he definitely has no interest in higher ranks, for now. He is open minded and even though ninja have to be wary of most things, Akai is quite curious about everything. But even though he is so open minded, his jokes and humor are... let´s say underground, maybe deeper. He can laugh about his own jokes most of the times, but other people can´t. Having long hair, his eyes are hidden most of the times, but even though they seem hidden, he always is looking around and has no qualms with looking some directly into the eyes or watching out for someone else.

Because his family is used to killing and talking about killing quite rationally or with a price tag next to it, Akai has learned not to value life too highly. But still, he keeps those close to him dear and would go to great lengths to rescue them.


History: Born into the Hozuki clan, Akai´s life started quite hectic. His mother Anaria was the third daughter of the clan leader and her man who had married her and taken her name was also not totally without good parents, his father was an official of the village and so this had been more of a political marriage. Thus there had been quite some dramatic scenes until now between the couple, because they were not really sure if they were supposed to hate each other or love each other. But now that Akai was about to be born, they both got together and waited for the nice thing to happen, much to the mishap of the hozuki clan members, as Akai would be the first male heir to the clan. As the three other daughters of the clan leader had not yet given birth. And the pair being happy about it made it no better at all.

Soon after he was born, Akai was put into the water to make him accustomed and make sure that he would not dry up in the meantime. With a few weeks in, he had down the first basics and was able to survive a while on land where his parents used all their free time to train him to be able to control his body, including walking and so on as well. Roughly six years later, he was done with it and became a full fledged member of the clan after the usual ceremony. In that time, another heir had been born as well and Akai was well out of range to become the next clan leader now. Even though he didn´t really understood that, seeing his parents smiling about it was good enough for him.

After entering the academy, he for the first time was able to meet other people beside his clan. And he didn´t like it one bit, he was used to the violent and deep mood at his house, so seeing other people smiling and fooling around, he couldn´t understand. So, he began to explore other people, got together with them and learned how to have fun, what to do and most importantly, got friends. These six years of academy he was neither the best nor the worst student, he didn´t care much about his grades and if he had used a bit more of his mind, he could have been quite better, but so he was average and had more fun than everyone. With eight he knew most places, with nine he was the one who always found new good places around. And with twelve he had become known, because he aced the ninjutsu exam easily, though he nearly flunked all other exams.

Now, he is eager and waiting for his team and proud about the badge showing that he is a ninja now. Though he wouldn´t mind running around freely, he also knows that he needs more training and best training is experience, so he will stay for now.
