In most Naruto Role-plays, you can use as many jutsu as you want within a fighting thread and just keep going, gauging the amount of chakra used at your own discretion. While that may seem appealing, we prefer a bit more realism here. Obviously, a Genin using an S Rank would put a serious dent in the total chakra that they have. Therefore, we have developed and patented a system to ensure that we can remain as realistic as possible.

In a thread in which you intend to fight, there will be an extra value outside of the normal ones. These will be called Chakra Points, or CP--whichever you prefer. Your maximum number of these points will be dependent on what Jutsu you know. Here is how it works:

D Rank Jutsu will give you 2 CP for each one
C Rank Jutsu will give you 10 CP for each one
B Rank Jutsu will give you 30 CP for each one
A Rank jutsu will give you 80 CP for each one
S Rank jutsu will give you 200 CP for each one

For example, say you have 5 D's, 2 C's, and 1 B. Your total amount of CP would be 60--10 from the 5 D's, 20 from the 2 C's, and 30 from the one B rank.

That is how many Chakra Points you can use during that thread. Your Chakra Point totals replenish for each new thread that you enter, so in your next thread you would have 60 CP again. If you run out of these points, that is, your chakra, you run out of chakra. if you run out of chakra, you die or are severely hospitalized for a while. In most cases, it will be the former, so be careful!

Now, when you use jutsu it will obviously deplete your chakra. Here are the depletion totals:

E Ranks deplete 1 CP
D Ranks deplete 1 CP
C Ranks deplete 5 CP
B Ranks deplete 15 CP
A Ranks deplete 40 CP
S Ranks deplete 100 CP

For exceptionally powerful juts,u some might require more than what is listed. If this is the case, it will be listed in the specific jutsu's description. Thus, you should look out for those exceptions!

If you want to learn a jutsu of a higher rank, there is another requirement that you must meet besides spending XP.

Say you wanted to learn a B Rank. You would require a total amount of at least 30 CP, plus a jutsu that is of the rank below it. So an example would be as follows:

10 D Rank's = 20 CP + 1 C Rank = 10 CP = 30 CP Total. After finding the technique you want, you can buy it using XP as long as you meet this requirement first.

Also as a special note all E Rank Jutsu take away 1 CP from you, but they don't add anything to your CP Total.
